quick wash...

Featured Replies

That turned out to take a couple of hours this afternoon....

got back from a car boot and car was dusty, now with access to the jet wash that was hidden behind all the junk in the garage I gave it a quick spray down 9great for removing bugs) and then washed it with autoglym shampoo, a quick rinse with jet wash and then a quick wipe with autoglymm aqua wax before going over all of it (apart from roof) with 476. It was probably the worse time of the day doing it in the afternoon in the sun, but here is my proud results. Need to think about doing the resin and gloss treatment in a few weeks time ready for when winter comes (and when its cooler) as i have noticed some very light scratches on the bodywork.

Didnt bother with the two bucket system today, however the shampoo water was still clean at the end, so looks like the jetwash got all the dirt off :)

Also found the collonite 476 is excellent in removing bugs, put some over the bug, leave over night and the bugs just drop off:)

The car looked abit hazy on the bonnet this evening where i had probably rushed it and hadnt buffed the wax enough, but apart from that and the summer debris thats attached to my car today it looks great!! :)

Looking good

Black magic is a biatch to keep clean though isn't it

I did the full wash and wax jobbie on Saturday but it's now covered in crap from a visit to the tip.

The 915 does a brilliant job (IMO of course) but I going to try Swissvax Onyx next time and see how it comes up.

I must admit i need to start replacing my cleaning stuff, the chamois is getting a bit grubby especially where 476 has ended up on it a couple weeks after applying it and then chamoing (however spelt) the car. Need to look at getting a new wash mit as mine is also falling apart, a bit like mange. also need to stock up on some more shampoo, aqua wax, cloths and think thats it for now... kinda expensive, need a halfrauds 3 for 2 sale or something ;)

Aqua blade and chamois! No suprise you have scratches appearing! Purchase a drying towel!!

Hoping there will be somebody at trax that will sell collinite 476 as I fancy trying this.

Never owned an aqua blade:eek: the chamois i think was in a packet with drying cloth written on it as it certainly doesnt feel like a proper chamois.
