Air-con

Problems......

I used the air con for the first time for a few weeks at the weekend and a problem jumped up...

I know that when the air con is operating when stationary there are two fans that will run at (sort of) low speed. Now when I operate the air con, the only fan that works is the one for the engine overheat and it runs flat out for say 5 secs then stops?

Anybody have any suggestions before I take it to the dealers...warranty runs out soon.

Oh, one more thing....the near side passenger footwell is wet, is this most likrly the door seals? it seems to be getting wet up the door fabric at the bottom?

Thanks,

Ben

Could be the infamous door carriers causing the the wetness.

Is the air con blowing cold air? It might well be that even though it's switched on at the switch, one of the sensors (evap temp sensor?) is preventing it from coming on.....

Yes, it still blows cold air out ok, it gets nice and cold?

Could be a relay or something? just seems odd that it's the engine cooling fan running at high speed even when the engine is cold?

I'm not sure if they stop after a certain speed? perhaps the sensor for this is gone and confusing everything else? I don't want to be in the position of needing the cooling fan and it not working?

Is the door seal a waranty job? nobody goes in the rear of my car.....only time it opens is when I clean it.
