Featured Replies

So just driving home from work and light comes one but cars feels fine drive good and no noticable problems so carry on home.

just got home and plugged in and got these codes but having had quick look around seems like the

17705 could be MAF, N75, DV. 17705/P1297/004759 - Ross-Tech Wiki is this right?

16795 could be loose hose? whereabouts would this be? 16795/P0411/001041 - Ross-Tech Wiki

also ive cleared the codes so will the car be ok to drive to work till weekend?

cheers

Speak nicely to Mr Lummox and he may save you a few

Try a final control diagnosis, 03 in 01 engine electronics and you may well be able to hear the actuators in the engine bay. For the 17705 check the breather and vacuum hoses also the turbo pipe. Car should be OK to drive.

The secondary air pump is that plastic cannister on the front of the engine, it has a pipe going to the air filter box.

sorry the 1st bit "control diagnosis 03 in 01 engine electronics" what do you mean?

One of the techies may tell me I'm wrong, but just a thought: When my DV failed recently, it allowed boosted air to leak into the vacuum circuit. The same vacuum circuit is used to control the secondary air pump (via the N112 valve, IIRC), so a faulty DV could be the cause.
