Faulty windows again...

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I've got a 2000-mod Fabia 1,4 16V.

Windows operate quite alright except for one strange thing...

The buttons have two levels on both up and down (as is normal)

Now; If i Press the button down all the way down nothing happens.

I have to only press it halfway and hold it there to get the window open.

In other words; no "one-touch" function

When closing the window though, things are ok and Pulling the switc all the way activates "one-touch"

Any ideas on how to get "one-touch-auto-down" to start working ??!?

What's Your best guess; software or faulty switch?

Sounds like the 'one-touch' controller needs resetting. The proper way of doing this is to disconnect the battery for a minute or so. It's happened to mine a couple of times, and I've just found the fuse for the relevant window and pulled that out instead. Once it's back in, everything's worked fine!

Using the comfort open and close facility both ways via locking and unlocking the doors should also reset it.

Hi There

Mine did this, replacing the switch cured the problem
