New door, new wing, new bumper, new strut, spring etc. New hub, bearing and carrier, new subframe, new console on one side. New wheel and tyre

While it was in bits i had them fit a new bush to the other side too. Wish id remebered about some Cupra R bushes, but oh well...

And while its all in bits, i spoke to the manager of said bodyshop, who is going to paint and fit the n/s wing from when i hit a deer too, for a bargain price :D

Loads of other bits too. Should hopefully be painted by today/early next week

In the meantime though, they gave me an Astra (105bhp) which i broke :o

So they took that back and gave me a Passat (140bhp) Lovely car :)

Hi Disco Mikey

Got my Furby back Saturday, great job, only fault now is I have no interior lights

I do not know if it is something they did when they removed the battery to replace everything, or if it is as basic as a fuse, It is so dark these nights I get home I can not work on the thing, so that is my job tomorrow after the gym

check fuses, check whatever block 30 is, After that I am snookered

The deer up here are a problem, my last furby I hit three in a oner, one under one over and one deed on the bonnet, not too much damage though, so I sorted the grill with superglue and brute force, as I had only commenced my own insurance with nil no claims :-)

Hope you are back on the road soon

I was in the pub last night and someone offered me eight legs of venison for

Chassis isn't crimpled is it? From the angle, and the severity, It looks like it would be....

Thats good to hear. Your hasnt taken anything like as long to fix as mine has though...

Hope it is just as simple as a fuse :)

There was a bit of a dent in the chassis leg. Not enough to put anything out of alignment though. But its been pulled out now, and undersealed.

Its also a bonus when you know the guys in the bodyshop, and the guys in the workshop that are working on your car ;)

Then you know its all done right :)

Well after the gym got to work on the Furby, and the fuse was blown, I metered it on my multimeter, no problem stick a fuse in I have loads in my shed, Duh loads of normal car fuses but Furby uses micro fuses, quick trip to the local Shell garage and sorted

A great relief as I had visions of when they removed the battery and fitted the new crossmember they must have damaged some plug or wiring

Replaced the fuse and now I am lit up like a Crimbo tree again Wooohoooo

I must admit Glenrothes CoachWorks did and excellent job including full valet inside and out

Hope you are on the road soon mikey

Unfortuantely his a little more severe than mine, but lucky for him it is against anothers insurance, mine did a runner, so it is on my insurance

I was up at Pidrie st and the young guy there has a blue SE VRS and his mum and dad have red and silver tdi's cool

Oh that's fine so long as she is paying, You could suggest that the blue is a bit masculine :-) and suggest a swop, second thoughts NOT as I noticed your bhp -)))))

Ummm... No

Feels totally different to what i remember. The front end feels really light, especially when going a bit quick, as if its not gripping the road, but its not actually sliding.

And it doesnt feel as quick as i remember either...

Maybe i just got too used to driving other cars... :o

I'm glad you have your car back, I am sure you will get used to the feel of it again real soon :)

glad to hear another great car back on the roads!

My felly got smashed up by a 4x4 last month,

Luckily he payed for the damage and its all fixed now, and my car felt really different too when i got it back, but i soon gets back to normal driving again.

These 4x4s certainly put a lot of damage about

Disco Mikey

Mikey

You

My good self

and several others on here all wellied by four by fours, though I think if your were to see other forums all are wellied by four by fours

Thats it then 99% of four by four drivers are tw@s

Well we all knew that anyway

I have a disco I follow to work most mornings and if I can pick the right moment on the A92 I get past, but usually due to tractors and traffic I have to saunter along behind at 40

One day there are temporary traffic lights with the cable across the road tw@ in Disco drops speed to 5mph to cross the cable, it was not to protect the cable but to protect the 4x4 ffs it is a Land Rover, It is meant to traverse BOULDERS ffs, WHY did you buy it

Oh you are a Farmers wife and it comes off the tax bill

Please trade it in for a ford KA

Or perhaps NOT

I also have a lady on the road A92 who has a 57 plate KA, She drives at 35mph until you hit the strait, then so long as nothing is coming toward her accelerates if you try to pass, as soon as anything comes towards her it is down to twenty brake lights on

Tuesday thick fog, she drives at ten miles per hour with full beam and face against the windscreen, with I and three miles of traffic behind her

I only got past her safely because I have been driving the road six times a day for 35years and know where I am but it took me ten miles at 10mph on a normal twelve minute journey

Sorry back on topic, damage caused by 4x4,

Plan on taking ownership of the SE VRS at some point, then the bhp on that will go up also.

hope you get it sorted soon dude

thats a funny story about the ka driver,

but they are good to drive other than the fact they have NO power at all. :D

And on the Felicia part of the forum there is a few more people who also have had crashes with 4x4 drivers.

One guy got reversed on by a 4x4 that had parking sensors!

-it also seems they go for the rarer or upmarket cars to hit, ie fabia VRS, or a felicia Laurin and Klement -only 200 in the world!
