reprogramming key

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there is a way of programming keys using vag com? My dad has a felicia and 2 keys, one is programmed the other is blank. I have vag com, fully registered, and OBD 2 cable.

Thanks in advance

Will

P.S. SKC is not on original key, so would need a way of getting that from existing programmed key.

Dunno what Immo the Felly has -

Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Diagnostic Procedures

4 digit SKC's are normally from the dealer. Some less reputable devices do claim to be able to extract them from dash pods. It's not in the key.

With the working key in the ignition , with the ignition on (engine not running), 25 - immobiliser, 11 - log in (prefix the 4 digit SKC with 0), 10 - adaptation, I think channel 01 for keys, enter in 2 (the number of keys), do it and then turn the ignition on with the key that needs programming.

If you do not have the SKC (Secret Key Code) you should be able to get it from a dealer by supplying the vehicle details (VIN and registration number) and the immobiliser serial number - this you will need to read with Vag Com, address 25 it will show a 14 digit number with Zs in it. The dealer may need proof of ownership/entitlement so be prepared to take in the log book and identification.
