Fitting Bi-Xenon HID's to vRS Mk1

Featured Replies

As the title states really my knowledge is fairly basic so any hints, tips or a fitting guide would be helpful thanks

Chris

Difficult, there is a lot of work involved.

If we're talking bi-xenon then they're not the standard ones, so I'm guessing Chris is refering to an after market kit. If this is the case, they're easy enough to fit but not strictly legal.

From all that I have read on here it sounds nearly impossible. Something to do with the self levelling electronics I think.

You might be able to do aftermarket if they have self levelling though.

Not a job for the faint hearted.

Cheers

If you have xenon dipped beam as standard, then a HID conversion kit for the main beam is quite easy to fit. I did this on my Fabia with good results.

The proper bi-xenon headlamps are very different & would involve a lot of work & money to fit.

Unfortunately, retro-fitting without self-levelling systems (and washers?) is now illegal under some recent new legislation. - i.e., without a heck of a lot of work and expertise, it ain't going to be easy.:(

glad you posted this up mate i was loooking at the bi xenons on ebay. they dont state anything about self leveling systems. straight bulb replacement by the look of them
