Octavia Servicing

Featured Replies

Hello. I'm new to Briskoda. In fact, this is the first time I have EVER used a forum website, so please excuse any gaffes I make.

My question is - can I get my Elegance serviced anywhere cheaper, but as reliably, other than my local (but not so local) dealership? I live in North Manchester, near the Cheshire/Derbyshire boarders. Can anyone tell me how to find a local mechanic that is trustworthy?

Look forward to hearing from someone

:)

Hello, I have just read your question about getting your Octavia serviced at a reasonable cost ( the dealers are very costly, and are they worth it ) I have just signed up to this site, and really havn't a clue how to use it. From whatI CAN see ( I think ) you havn't had any replies yet to your question. Have you had any that have by-passed the system ? I'm in the same boat as you are, I don't think the cost by the Skoda dealer is justifiable, and I believe we 'pay for the name' I live in Oldham, there is a dealer in Bury, and one near Manchester prison in Cheetham Hill. My Octavia is 4 yrs old and due it's second sevice. Did you get any help about your Octavia ? where you could take it and trust them ? and the cost. Hope you don't mind another novice Briskoda asking you for help. I don't know where this e-mail will go...to you, or into a forum. If it goes to either, maybe I might get some advice about reliable service in the Oldham area.

regards David

Try AWESOME they are in Manchester ;)

Thank you fezboy ! David,

You might want to edit out your email addy else it'll get picked up by the web bots.

Thanks for the 'warning' Stu. Problem is, I can't negotiate around the site yet, I'l have another go to remove my web address. David

What a dim wit I am...the 'edit' availability is under my question !!! I'll remove my address.
