Octavia Engine Blown

Hi All, I just wanted to run something by you all. My 53 plate Octavia went for service and MOT and the engine blew up on the emissions test. Many headaches but now got the car back with new (warranty) engine, that the good news. They then charged me £254 for the "service". After 200 mile trip up north, found battery flat, they hadn't connect the alternator.

I was annoyed at first paying the money, now even more so. Am I being ungrateful or should I not have had to pay for the service? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

John

Hello John

I do not know the full facts, but you have had the engine replaced under warranty on a four year old car,and you booked it in for a service(so it is going to cost something!)

Ok not connecting the alternator is a major downer, but from what i see you are still ahead:thumbup:
