Featured Replies

Is there other in dash navigation systems that can be bought for the Octavia other then the stock MFD2? If so which one fits in dash for the octavia?

thx

You could get a VW Trinax/MFD3/RNS 510 if you have a spare £1000 or so.

ouch :)

But, where?

Not that I'm interested or anything Stu but how would one fit said MFD3 in place of a MFD2.

Looking at it the aperture looks the same and I guess the connections on the back are the same apart from a second aerial connection.

What about the coding for the car? My guess is the same.

Nice guides there Dan - good effort.

I am thinking of this myself for a 2000 Octavia try ebay search DVD GPS. You will find lots of double din DVD players some with a SD card slot for TomTom, route 66 etc.

This would also give you Tv. But be careful as some need an external sat nav receiver. Most from Hongkong but one or two sellers in UK so you don't get caught for import duty.
