You need to click it twice to open the four doors its a safety thing for a lone driver saves someone hijacking your car or jumping in uninvited, as for the boot i think if you click on the middle one that just opens the boot someone will correct me if i have got that wrong, but i think that is the crack with it plus if you do unlock it and dont open the door in a certain time it locks it self again, quite clever really.

You need to press the remote twice within 2 seconds to open both doors. I used to find it a pain in the **** myself. You can have this feature disabled if you find a nice man with Vag Com;) and then all doors will open with one press.

As for the boot, i think theonly way to open it is with the remote.

The middle button has to be held for about 2 seconds to work

Plus, the boot will open with the electronic release on the hatch itself only if all 4 doors are unlocked.

Take care with the key when opening the boot with the centre button, and the doors locked because it is possible to lock the keys in the boot.

press and hold the boot button in on the remote and when you hear the boot pop then let go of the button.

Thanks. Mine seems to work only when it wants. Not a big deal but will get the dealer to show me/sort it when it gets its first service.
