Ao Hell

Featured Replies

Right....I can access this site and others via AOL and LINKSYS WAG54GX2 wireless router, however I Cant access Welcome to Belkin, unless i use a proxy server. Rang AOL and got the reply....it must be your pc...hmm....checked with neighbour who uses aol, tried to access belkin again, same thing.

Any idea's anyone???

Try going direct to 205.166.232.45 - it might be that AOL have screwed up the DNS records.

Can you access other sites ok? eg Hotmail?

AOL uses an MTU of 1450 which is not the default. Worth checking what's configured on your router. I've come accross this before when setting up routers for friends.

sounds like AOL have a routing problem to the belkin site, and possibly others that are in the same geographic location. Try getting a command prompt and enter.

nslookup www.belkin.com

and see if you can resolve the IP

also whilst there if you can resolve the ip, enter

tracert www.belkin.com

and see how far down the route you get before the timeouts start appearing.

Well ive just kicked AOL into touch.....they couldnt resolve my problem...i need a new ISP, quick,

The only thing I can suggest is to avoid using talktalk, apart from that most of the ADSL proviers are very simillar. Beware of the cheap deals that offer limited data caps,1 or 2GB is not a lot. BT do some offers that look good on paper, but are far to limiting.
