Fabia vRs 17" + Falken 452's

Featured Replies

Finally got my 17" mk1 Octys alloys complete with Falken 452's fitted to my Fabia vRS. The suspension is standard height and I think the Octys look at home, so to speak.

I know the body of opinion here advocates lowering to get the best asthetics but at this stage I'm quite content. No doubt, in time, the sheer force of opinion will convince me otherwise.

Anyway, until that day I'm just going to swoon.

I think they're minging

They look the bees knees on the Fabby - less agricultural / teutonic

Up where we are the adjective "minging" certainly doesn't fit in the context of sentence 2. I ken what you mean tho'. Thanks.

Wheels look ace

Lookin' good Bill, looking good

Has anyone mentioned to you that it might look better if it were lowered? :P

Apologies,

:sofahide:

Steve

Here comes the Devil's Advocate :(

Where? I don't see anyone. And what charges is the Devil up on this time?!

Looking good, needs lowering though :P

Had teh same tires on my car.. just awesome!!

Instead of lowering, could always stick Koni FSDs on when the time comes - that will drop it very slightly but improve handling a lot too :)

Never having managed to get a spin in a Furby with 17", I was, to say the least, a wee bit apprehensive of what I was letting myself in for. However, was I surprised, or what?; weird as it might seem, over some of the c**p roads around here the ride is better compared to when shod with the original 205/45 Michelins on the standard 16" alloys.

I don't use the word "awesome" too often but as far as the ride comfort factor is concerned, these Falken 452's are indeed, awesome. Happy days are here again!

Now, don't start on the lowering issue; not for a wee while anyway.

lol, i was actually screaming in the car when i first fitted these tires coz the difference they made to the ride comfort compared to the old 451s was massive, yet they'll out handle most of the tires u can actually think of:thumbup:

OK im going to go against the tide here and say to keep it as it is... looks cracking!

At last, a Kindred Spirit sharing impeccable judgement and exquisite taste!

And, we won't be "lowering" our ourselves to the level of the uninitiated - so don't try, for a while anyway.
