Eeeeuh! Wet Seatbelt !!

Featured Replies

Noticed this for quite some time now (maybe always?!) - After it's rained, and i get in the car (OVRsMk1), the seatbelt spring back seems tight, and the belt itself feels slightly damp. Clearly, I have a leak somewhere - but where :rubchin:

A quick search here brought nothing. Anybody had the same prob ????

I have noticed this on my 2001 TDi estate.... I assumed a slightly dodgy door seal, but as the car spends most of its time in the garage I have not been too concerned by it.

I wounder if the door membrain is not too good, water is leaking over the seal at the bottom of the door, into the car, and along... do you park with the nose of the car pointing slightly uphill?

It's certainly one of the symptoms of the dreaded Fabia door leaks... :(
