Is there a mouse in my car?!

Featured Replies

After a journey, when I stop my car, I can hear something coming from the passenger side footwell, possibly behind the glovebox. It sounds like something scrabbling about in there!!

It's a hard to explain noise! I'm sure it's not a mouse, but it just sounds like it!

Any ideas guys? Whats in that area of the car that could make a noise?

Also, where can i buy a direct replacement aerial whip for my mk1 vRS? As it has the funny tilt back thing the thread is different, and has a bit sticking out of it. Found nothing to match in Halfords, infact all I found in Halfords was a collection of useless teenage zombies that seemed to amazingly know absolutely nothing about cars!

I think I'm turning into a grumpy old man!:holmes:

The noise is jut the aircon settling down IIRC.

Mine does it too - nothing to worry about.

you will soon smell a mouse if a mouse is in the car, their urine is one smell you will have problems removing.

I inherited a company car some time back that had a resident mouse. The only sign it was there was the nibbled holes in boxes that I left in the car. It didn't smell though - maybe mine was toilet trained :D

A mouse trap (a humane one) under the seat soon had it evicted, although, I never did find its litter tray !

If you do have a mouse, you'll soon know it. Those little guys love to chew
