I'm in the mood for some flying, but have no sims to play...

I'm quite a fan of the nice simple ones where you have up/down bank left and right, and a throttle up and FIRE! And that's about it aside from gear up & down maybe. I remember playing WW2 ones like this - None of this heat seeking rocket stuff.

Anyone got any suggestions for something to ask to "borrow" ?? I can remember playing "Hellcats" on the Macintosh - now that was quite fun.

you can pick up MS Combat flight sim for peanuts these days, it ticks all the box's Jase and you can get loads of free downloads for it as well.

Well, got a free download last night with some add-ons, just need the game now (i was kind of hoping the download would be the game, but it's not )

I've not tried this myself but it's free so worth a punt.

I had hours of fun on European Air War, Sturmovic (sp) is excellent. Current favourite is Blazing Angels. Sort of an arcade flight sim.

Actually, not sure if these kind of simple flight sims can be played online - what with the speed of braodband and the like nowadays?
