N95 or K810i?

Featured Replies

I've heard they will take a 4GB card but it drains your battery a lot quicker for some reason.

Nope. Not true if you se a decent quality card

I used to have a 6310 which was only supposed to take a 512MB card but it worked fine with a 1GB, except for the battery like.

6310? You mean 6230?.

Bigger mem cards don't normally drain batteries any faster. Only if you get a cheap one ;)

BTW for those who are interested, an N95 replacement LCD will set you back £85 fitted.

Loz, the U600 is touch "screen"......couple of buttons...

The G600 is normal.

Mine is coming as soon as Orange have one to send me :)

Re K810i - its just an average phone. Does nothing out of the ordinary... Round buttons make it hard to text. Thats it!

I would agree with the above statement and I wouldn't even compare the N95 with the K810i.

What Iam doing is waiting till next month and getting the K850i :thumbup: I sent a mail to 02 asking when it's due out and they said "the week starting from 08 October 2007."

Ok, whats great about the K850i? I'm all ears :o)

If you decide on the N95 then definately wait for the new 8gb version. it's available almost everywhere else in the world except europe.

Normal version is too slow and buggy, especially with operator specific firmware.

Ring ring ring ring ring...BANNANA PHONE!:D

Don't get the N95 on Orange or Vodafone as they lock the phone down so you can't use VOIP. AFAIK O2 and T-mobile leave theirs unlocked so you can use something like Truphone.

n95

dont pay more than 300 pounds for the contract and phone, you should get a good deal on upgrade.

I got mine on £10 for the first six months and 20 for the next twelve, phone free

the voip thing isnt an issue, you can update to the nokia firmaware by making some easy changes!

Scotty026 - the camera quality really isn't a big swaying factor for me - I have an Ixus 50 and a D80 for that - There wont be a phone on the planet that can beat either of them!

voice over internet protocal

you can use wifi to make phonecalls rather than your service provider, voda barred it to stop you but there are work arounds.

i might get the N95 on O2 for £35 a month for 12 months. I want a 12 month contract and O2 are the only ones who do reasonable ones!!!

  • 1 month later...

Just thought I'd update on here in case anyone else has been having the same problem:

As I said earlier in the thread I was having trouble with my K810i repsonding to button pushes. Well, the problem is now solved - I've changed the 'homescreen' from Orange to Sony Ericsson and it works fine. Must be dodgy Orange software that was causing the problem. D'oh!
