Underbody seal

Featured Replies

Have noticed there are no threads on this. I am considering using Waxoyl underbody seal on my Skoda Favorit before the winter really sets in (assuming a dry day or two comes up). Hopefully it will help kill off some of the small bits of existing rust, help prevent rust and reduce road noise slightly.

Where else other than the underbody of the car, wheel arches and under plastic trims can you put underbody seal? I am guessing the sump, exhaust and brake pipes are a no-no.

Keep it away from the discs and drums too.

Metal brake pipes are OK to be covered with.

I used the stuff in a black tin on my old car (hammerite with added waxoyl), wear some old gear though as you are likely to get caked in it.
