Can't give it away

Featured Replies

Last month I was ....perusaded..(see bullied) into being sensible and in a cost cutting measure I've swapped my VRs furby for an 1.9pd Elegance octavia and get rid of the 10 year old (N reg) Omega that costs a fortune to insure and maintain (not to mention the joys of 32MPG (compare to the 50+ of the skodas).

Anyhow as it's worth bugger all I thought I would give it to charity (instead of just ramming it on fleabay or dropping it at the local aution house for next to nothing) in the effort that it might get a new lease of life and do some good...

Easier said then done.

Any ideas? (be sensible please!)

I've had a look on google etc and even though you say UK only it either comes up with US places or sites that look..... dodgy.

Find your local freecycle (The Freecycle Network) site and offer it there for charitable purposes only. :)

i was gonna say how about getting involed with some sort of charity event, where you drive somewhere on the cheap?

when your done the locals will bite your hand off for the car and you get the train or plane back?

Why not call Mr Clarkson, they might put it on Top Gear being driven through a minefield or something.

Shove it on ebay and then donate the proceeds to charity which you can do directly in the listing.

Charities are very wary of what they take on nowadays in case they get sued, they would probably rather just have a donation of a few quid.

Sell it to a mate for £50, conditional that he does the Plymouth to Dakar in it with you?

I think I am leaning towards fleabay now.
