Is this track event value for money?

Featured Replies

Mazada are giving us mazda owners :P , a discount on mazda track events at thruxton. there's a few formats but essentially you get a MX5 or RX8 experience for £124 or £150 respectively. The experience consists of 3 instructor laps, 14 laps with you driving and then a fast lap by the instructor.

Not as much track time as a take your own car (only takes about 90mins apparently) but its an opportunity to drive somehting a lot faster than mine and RWD for the first time.

Anyone know of any better values "drive their cars not yours" events?

is this open to any mazda driver? :D

its a long way down to Thruxton , so some of the value for money is gone when you add in the fuel to get there and back , pity they aren't doing it at Oulton Park

should be an OK event though as Thruxton is a pretty quick track

tbh it doesn't clearly state you even need to drive a mazda so you might be in with a shout but I did see the offer in the owners mag they send to new buyers.

It is a long way, I've a friend who's an RX8 owner and thats what put him off. If we went together and took my 3 instead of his 8 we'd only need half the petrol!

your 3 must be thirsty then , is it a 2.0L Sport ?
