Which Brakes are best?

Featured Replies

I want to get some new discs and pads for the front (can't afford a big brake upgrade). I have narrowed it down to Tarox G88 Groved Discs and Strada pads total of about £280 or Black Diamond drilled and grooved discs with ferrodo DS2500 pads about £300. I am not sure which discs and pads to get or whether i should do a different combination?

Thanks

Chris

I have the G88's on mine and they are very very good

Black Diamond discs and Black Diamond Predator pads. I have been selling BD since Chris started his company and they have always performed very well. The set on my Golf 2 16v with G60 front brakes are just about worn out now but are ten years old. As soon as my Octy needs some new discs...

Don't bother with cross-drilled discs, just get grooved. Cross-drilled are prone to warping and crack around the holes....

I totally agree and the same goes for combination versions as well, just 12 groove.

Tarox G88  Strada pads:thumbup: = Quality braking
