Hi im new to the site, picked up my octavia VRS on saturday and love it. One thing though

ive always wanted a turbo car with a really loud dump valve sad i know. I have browsed

the site but there seems to be no deffinate answer to what i need. What exactly do i need

to get my desired loud dump, all help much appreciated cheers

Hi Matt,

Well you need to start with a dump valve, a Forge or Bailey seem to be the most popular, but it has to be a recirculating type valve.

Takes about 3mins to change over, easy job.

That in itself though won't give you the loud DV noise.

To get that you need to get yourself a CAI (Cold Air Induction kit).

Then the DV noise echoes down the induction pipe.

...Ive got a Forge Spliter (Forge Motorsport) on mine and doesnt give me any problems. My car is only standard and I belive from reading on here that you are more likely to get issues (Fault codes, CEL, limp mode etc) when the car is re-mapped. Im also not sure on how this valve would work if the car was re-mapped, obviously a decent tuner should be able to tell you...

Someone please correct me if any of the above is wrong!...

Its not as loud as these 'Fast and the Furious-Jap-Style-Whistle-While-You-Work' valves, but does give that satisfying noise, Oh, and drive it sensibly and it doesnt make any noise either which is always a plus when crawling home at some ungodly hour after being called out!

I bought mine from AwesomeGTI and I think there is a post on here from them about a Group Buy when these units first come about....

I have a forge 007 DV and Carbonio CAi and the noise is lovely.

I wanted all the noise when i got my turbo car.

The Carbonio and the 007P is :drool: "Awesome"

The split R is the only atmosheric dump valve that can be used on the VAG cars that will not bring on any warning lights

The best way to get the noise that you want is the Carbonio and the 007P

Will give you the sound and also give you better throttle response too all the way with these

I'm running a Bailey DV30 and ABD Racing CAI and TIP, cannot fault the combination.

hi there i do like the look of the ABD induction kit, but cant see it listed for the VRS?
