Just done 250 miles in a weekend with the Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Just put a bit more miles on the Vrs over the weekend and really impressed with the fuel consumption I'm now getting.

Friday - Headed down to the borders with the girfriend for a meal with a couple of friends and to let them have a shot of the car, managed to get 52 to 53 mpg on both trips.

Saturday - Headed over to visit the inlaws in fife and was geting about 48-50mpg over a mixture of varied driving including driving through the town centre.

Sunday - Headed to the memorial service of Colin McRae in lanark, managed about 48-50 on the way down, car did get driven hard down the back roads within the speed limits, but the girlfriend drove the way back and managed to get 57.1mpg which is the best we have got out of the car.

Car is now sitting at half a tank and I'm really impressed with the car, MPG.

Now going to have to wash it as the yellow paint really shows the muck at the back of the car.

Also got my car booked in for it's free one month check at the dealers so hope it comes back with a clean bill of health.

Yea another Yellow Peril Good init

Enjoy mine no end, until some barsteward Range Rover driver hit and run it last weekend

Got to pay my excess and lost all my no claims bonus, I hate insurance companies it was witnessed not my fault I was not even at home when he hit it, yet I have to lose out on some none insured tW*7 THAT did a runner

Still not been contacted by the coach works,(we will call you in two days sir)

yet my Yellow Peril is still driveable just dented, dodgy lights and a new rad

Still at 57mpg I may save enough to pay for the repairs

Did not mean to high jack your thread (still angry my new baby is damaged)

Yellow Perils are great :-)

National

happy driving lads... :drivesaf:

I do 800-1000 miles per week, but only get 44-46 mpg.

I tend to cruise at 85, and boot it from rbouts, also theres 20% urban, and 15% cross country blasts at ten tenths.

To get 50 + I have to seriously restrain myself.

Glad your getting decent MPG.

Tend to find i get 60mpg on a long Motorway cruise at normal speeds.
