not very happy with dealer comment

Featured Replies

anyway it's the continuing saga of the fault with my furby vrs. last weekend the car sounded like a bag of nails ticking over, so on tuesday i nipped into my nearest dealer gorners warrington. they put it up on the ramp and said they think there is a problem with the gearbox and didn't really want me to take it away...anyhow i said that if they've not got a dual control car i would have to manage and booked it in for the following week... so i took it in sat 12pm the dealer said that skoda wouldn't cover the fault if it was due to driver abuse. so if there was any teeth missing on the box then it wouldn't be covered... i promptly warned him that the **** would hit the fan if they tried to riddle out of a warranty claim. and the good name that skoda had built up would soon be knocked down once the local and national press got word of my story. so they've got he car for a week and they are going to ring me whilst on my holiday in portugal to let me know whats going on. how to ruin an holiday in one easy go. :( Tom.

sorry to hear that. my dealer has been a1 so far. but my car has another fault and even if it gets fixed skoda are going to get a rocket up the......

just hope you can still enjoy your holiday and the car gets fixed under warranty

If you are only in Warrington, get yourself booked in to Alex Lawrie in Liverpool it is a 30 min drive for me but has paid dividends . I am into my 2nd Octy Vrs from them now and had no problems at all with them.

Just a thought.

I'll second this motion.

I've started using Alex Lawrie, and they've been (so far) very good. Even did a warranty repair, quite happily, despite their comments about how "standard" my car might (or might not) be..

Better than the ... oh, I can't be ars*d going into it again ....

Tom I have to say goto Horners in Manchester I went to them today after not being happy with Gorners aftercare (basically seem to not give a toss) Horners are 100 times the dealer Gorners are (I am from Ashton-in-Makerfield so though the extra mileage was worth it :))

Not sure Horners are as good as they were...but that's not my story to tell. Basically I think Skoda UK are cranking down on dealers; tis a sad day, but hey ho; plenty of other brands that don't minds mods...now where did I leave my c2 catalog...

Skoda need to sort this Dealer/Aftersales **** out.

The Cars are no longer the weak point but the Slimey To55ers behind them.

Having bought New and Used Skoda's from 3 London dealers im sorry to say i would'nt recommend any of them. Plus the service charge's in London are a p*ss take, my sis lives in Hedensford and the local dealer up there is 40% cheaper!!!!!

Some even deliver the wrong car :(

Some even deliver the wrong car :(

Is that your excuse? :)

If you have a complaint, comment, observation etc then tell/confront the dealer (as well as posting on here!).

Is that your excuse? :)
Jon means a hatchback when he had ordered an Estate! :(

Saw you furby sparkling away in the forecourt today (was in post office collecting mail)

Was wondering if you were about but did not want to look like a wierdo looking for you ;)

I'll await the results before sending mine back in as it's due for a 40K service, clutch cylinder is sticking aswell and I think my clutch is going to be dead by 5pm on Saturday ;)
