Octavia mk1 Total closure

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

Tried searching for answer but couldn't find anything concrete.

Do mk1 Octy's have total closure fitted as standard? On my vectra we had to fit a small mod which allowed the function...

Anyone know for sure if they've got it It will be on my soon to be 02 plate Octy.

Thanks in advance

What's total closure?

First Dean (Woodenspatulas) and now you Darren haha, it seems everyone is moving over from VVOC to here.

I know if you do the same hold the key in the lock trick then all the windows do go up.

And I think you do need to buy a little box of tricks like on the vecs as can remember my mate buying something like that with 4/5 wires coming from it.

What's total closure?

Lock ya car with the remote and if any windows are left open then they close at the same time ;)

As above then, there is no remote total closure, unless you buy a box of tricks. You can hold the key in the door lock in the lock position which will close any open windows.

missing the vecs extensive features already mate?? ;)

hows the new skoda then?

generally the mk1 Octavia doesn't have total closure, but it can be done by fitting an aftermarket alarm that has the function. I have it on my car using an aftermarket alarm fitted by my local dealer.

I tried the hold the key in the lock trick last night... you learn something new every day :D

Shame it can't be done by holding the lock/unlock button on the remote though :(

Well there's now a couple of avenues for me, have a chap who developed a total closure mod for vauxhalls - had it fitted on my vectra, he's just made a unit for a Seat I believe so once my car goes to him sometime in the near future, it may come away with a total closure mod!

Alientech looks ok but bit pricey for my liking.
