Shakey

Featured Replies

Went up to Donny on Saturday to the car show there but whilst on the way up i noticed that at any speed over 80 the bonnet would start to shake with the increasing wind against it as the speed rose.

When i got there i adjusted the two rubber pillars near the centre front of the slam panel but the shaking was still there (not as bad at lower speeds) on the way home.

Has anyone else had this problem with their octy vRS ?

I'm guessing it just needs further adjustment, or am i better popping it round to the dealers to sort ?

Cheers guys.

Yup, mine did that. Took it to the dealers and they sorted it for me.

I had the bonnet come open on an Iveco Daily van once, at about 70mph on an A-road, with three or four lorries coming towards me ...as a sudden cure for constipation, that experience takes some beating, believe me. :Yikes:

its not something i'll look forward to...

with this sort of thing do you think i'll need to book the car into the dealers or should i just turn up there ? suppose its better to check with them first huh ?

oh and is this something they should just sort out or is it something i'll need to fork out for ?
