Dear Sirs I am a Fabia Fanatic and I have a very big problem with cruise control retrofit (installation ).If anyone should help,I will be really so pleased.I have an 2007 (not new fabia model) model 1.2 12v 64 hp Fabia and I went to the service and want to retrofit a cruise control to my car.They did all the cable montage and the system but we could not manage to work it.When we enter the activation code , the computer says that the FUNCTION SUCCESFULLY ACTIVATED but then it gives a fault code which is (18045 P1637 009) and the cruise control does not work.

My motor code is BME ****** and the car number is TMBDY46Y674******.

The control brain unit is VW AG 03E 906 023 D - 9510 PETROL SIMOS 9.1 HW: H04 (SIEMENS VDO 5WP40502 04) - 61H04--- SJ8 FST 14.02.07 R405 0374 .

What should the problem is ? And can you help me or help the service to solve this problem.If it is not possible to fit the cruise control to my car why the service said that we can do this and they failed?

I didnt think cruise contol was suitable for the 1.2.

I'll do some digging, but it might just be they havent installed it correctly, rather difficult to tell.

I would say it's quite possible you have a 6K2 Boardnetz controller.

Can you post an Autoscan from VAg-COM?

If it's not the Boardnetz then as Lummox says possibly an incorrect install.
