hi im dan im 18 nearly 19 and im thinking of buying a fabia vrs as a second car to replace my corsa 1.2sxi. have some plans for it-

eiback springs

jabba sport antiroll bar

pd160

green air filter

jabba sport custom remap.

planning on having jabba sport do most of the work as they are only a 10min drive from me.

do these plans sound good and what sorta power would i be looking at?

few questions about the car-

how reliable are they?

what problems should i be looking for when i go and look at one?

is it easy to fit an aftermarket headunit? and are the standard speakers any good?

does a remap make much difference to fuel ecconomy?

how does a fabia compare performance to something like a saxo vts?

im thinking the fabia is really the car for me even though my friends wind me up because its a diesel and a skoda!

I would think given your age you might struggle to properly insure a modded car, almost certainly the remap.

had a look at the insurance and its not to bad £1500 fc with mods

I just insured a standard one today

Im 19 with no no claims bonus and a claim to my name

I got the insurance for £923

The best for me were Admiral and elephant

Try adding your mum and dad as secondary and 3rd drivers, makes a hell of a difference

I went with admiral!

Filled it in as me as main driver on my own = £1400

Added my mum as secondary = £1050

Added my mums partner as 3rd driver = £923!!

Give it a try and post up if you get it any cheaper
