Unlucky, or a Friday Afternoon Special?

Featured Replies

Think I've been unlucky. Since getting my Fabia in June, I've had:

Cracked windscreen

Heated driver's seat failure

Driver's side lower door hinge failure

Loss of power (drives like a 1.2 engine)

The dealership are looking into/have fixed things under warranty, but still waiting on new seat module/loss of power fixes.

That does sound very unlucky!

My Fabia also had cracked windscreen after only a month...thanks to a close encounter with a stone on the M6.

The Autoglass bloke said it was the first new Fabia he'd done and it was the nicest windscreen he'd ever worked on!

Bad luck! It's a shame you've had so many issues, but I hope you get them sorted soon!

thats unlucky alright. the 1.2htp ive been using has been spot on. although blowing a tyre out on the 1.9tdi i was using was a mare, that and the rear tyre was also damaged in the incident (although i cant blame the car for the crappy roads!) meant i still havent got back in it yet!

how many miles have you done?

you sure its not that white roof causing it ;)

Less than 2k! On the white roof issue, my uncle (cheeky so and so :finger:), asked how the roof had been the only part to escape the rust!

My reply was that the whole car is orange, but the white was due to an unseasonal snowfall! (Bear in mind this was in July).

Thanks to everyone for the comments.

The three yr ol Furby we just PEX had one coil pack failure under warranty. It was the original tyres

Motoring was about 20 / week. The average must be 50?

so the new one is showing to be as faulty and bug ridden as the first one maybe?

sorry to hear about it but it does seem maybe that now they have sold a few we will start to read more posts like this.

I think this is the first post Ive read so far , it will be interesting to follow how the new Fabia fares with problems , compared to the Mk1.

sure the owners will forgive them, just as most mk 1 owners forgive thiers:D

Most, not all. Not getting another one, got it due to the "What Car of the Year" thing, it's cost too much and been a pain.

Can't decide whether to try the latest winner, a Corsa. I had the previous version as a loaner and it was really cheap and nasty inside.
