Over oiling a filter

Featured Replies

Iv just cleaned my green filter with the kit and how the hell do you know if its over oiled or not as the instructions just say spray lightly over the filter. i dont dare put it in incase i mess something up, its sitting in the airing cupboard until im sure its ok. you can see the oil on the filter so i assume its??????

ive heard that dabbing it with kitchen roll will remove the excess. then again ive read on here that the MAF doesnt like the oil but there doesnt seem to be any proof either way that it affects it or not.

oil on a MAF can cause problems , so best get dabbing the filter with paper towel methinks
