Felicia 1.6 Throttle Body

Featured Replies

My 1999 Felica 1.6 kept stalling and was very hesitant on acceleration. I had the throttle body cleaned by a mechanic who says that I need a new throttle body. However, he says that there are no aftermarket replacements available and will have to by one from Skoda at £300 + VAT. Is this the same part that would fit in a 1.6 Polo and if so what is the part number, as there are cheaper aftermarket components available for the Polo.

be very careful as when i was looking for a throttle body i found that on the skodas magnetti marelli multi plugs and sensors etc are used, and on dubs and seats, bosch units are used. dont get caught out if buying unseen

have you tryed re-setting the ecu.

disconnect the battery over night

in the morning, turn key till all the dash lights come on, and leave for two min,

them start car.

i did this on mine and it was like a miricale cure.

Looked at the part number on the throttle body and it is 030133064D. It is a standard VW part. Got a brand new one off ebay for £130 and got it fitted for £40. Now drives like a new car!

good skills that man.

its good to know what parts are what, as skoda did mess around with the stuff vw gave them. you never quite know if skoda changed the odd sencer hear, or hose fixing there.
