Could somebody post a picture of the front light cluster?

Don't know if these help. Difficult to get the camera in behind the light.

Thanks - saved me a job! You can see easy enough that (given enough fiddling), the cover will sit flush against the back of the cluster...

If you need pics of any other bit let me know; camera at the ready.
Hmm it looks like the part I have highlighted has snapped off. Strange that it happened to both sides...

How old's your car? I'm wondering whether there's been a design change and yours shipped with the wrong parts... It's not just the lack of a clip; your covers look to be made from a white-ish plastic, whereas mine are made of a smoked grey plastic (as MODVRS's appear to be). It ought to be reasonably easy to tell whether something's snapped off, or whether it was never there in the first place. If it is something like that, then as long as you can get a screw short enough and fat enough, I see no reason why you shouldn't screw them in place. Another option might be a thin cable tie, as long as you can get it tight enough...

Mine's a '04. It does actually look like a different design. I just went out and had another look and the plastic is rough/jagged on both sides where the clips must have snapped off.

The screw holes are used to hold the cradle for the HiD ballast on N/S and generally hold cover on, As it bows slightly possibly due to heavier gauge wiring.

The O/S is held in place by the clips. Ballast is under slam panel. The fuel filter takes up all available space

I can only assume HiD's were available on different variants in different markets

Though for a belt and braces approach there's nothing stopping you popping a couple of screws in each lamp

Mines an 05 and that clip has snapped on mine too... It looked smoked grey/clearish.
