Hi Folks,

Has anyone out there with vista home premium tried using AVG free anti virus software? I have and it slowed everything down on broadband and totally messed up my emailing. I've just uninstalled it and now it's all fine again.

Cheers Mick Stowe.

Works fine here on Vista Business

works fine on vista home premium and business here

Don't like AVG - I use Avast on Vista Home Premium.

I thought it was playing up but it's just vista and my "ageing" pc spec. lol What spec are you running

fine here too :)

but I woulnd't expect it to be slow on a Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz with 4GB of RAM...

AVG sometimes has a habit of running a daily full PC scan, and not show it in the taskbar... go into the program and make sure that its not ticked in scheduled tasks, theres absolutely no reason to do a full scan

Got Avast on Vista Business for me. Doesn't seem too bad. Vista is a bit of a fat pig compared to XP.

Another gig of memory and a CF card for readyboost for me I think.
