Looking a bit better...

Featured Replies

Well I've finally got my new alloys and suspension fitted. Car went in for a little cosmetic surgery on Tuesday, these photos were taken first thing on Wednesday morning. Think the front is still settling down, looks a bit high to me.

Audi tt alloys, 205/40 tyres, KW suspension (shocks & springs) 30mm drop, I've got the pd160 air intake and pipercross filter to be dropped on this weekend.

Opinions?

Alloys look nice - how far away from the kerb do you have to park ?

looking very nice mate

Loving the alloys

My god that looks sweet

How much did the suspension kit cost?

I was on the lookout for some Octavia vRS wheels for mine, but now im not so sure...

They 18"s?

They come in 17's, 18's are an option AFAIK (Octy II)

doubt they'd fit anyway PCD 5x112

Octy I are 17's PCD 5x100

Please correct me if I'm wrong:confused:

Same here, in fact I was outbid on a reconditioned set on ebay a week before I picked these up. The spider alloys certainly suit the fabia, but they look a bugger to keep clean.

There are quite a few other options available for a chunky car like the fabia.

No they are only 17's.

nice... how is the ride on the new setup? is it hard ?

Hey mate,

Whats the ride like on the kw kit?

Wheels look really nice btw

Very Nice Indeed.

The ride is pretty good. I've not lowered my last two cars, I had my first car (fiesta) lowered and it was crashy and harsh, so I was worried the fabia would the be the same.

However I released I couldn't really do the wheels without the suspension, I know a few people have but from a personal viewpoint I think it makes the Fabia look even more tractor like that it already is as standard. So I took the plunge.

I know the 'standard' route is eibachs and koni's, but I fancied something a little different and a bit cheaper. Thankfully I'm really impressed with the ride. It's not crashy, it's not harsh, it's more controlled and predictable.

There is still body roll, although a lot less, I guess a rear ARB will sort that out. Overall I'm very pleased with both the improved handling and looks.

We've got a mini cooper on the 17" mini wheels, the two cars now feel very similar, sporty and firm, although the mini can be chucked around a little more.

I use the electric mirrors to park

Put them on the lowest position and you see the kerb and the wheel

Nice... I will probably end up getting a KW kit for mine one day. seem better value than eibach and koni fsd's

Looking really good mate nice job

That's a trick I use often as well, but on the whole I avoid kerbs!!

Very nice. I must code my door handles (properly)....

It looks great

looks great, the kw kits from entry level right up to top of the range are quality items, those wheels really suit your car,and i have to agree, you can't put the wheels on without doing the suspension:D

At first glance was not so sure but having a second look, really suit the car, do they stick out more???

Well the are 7.5" width so yes they do 'stick' out a little bit more.
