going for my first service

Featured Replies

Im just thinking if i really need to go to the length of taking off my front strut and replacing my green panel filter with OEM air filter

what can they do or say?!?!

oh and Ive fitted wind deflectors, do they need to come off aswell???

Im taking it back to the dealer for the 1st service (Isle of Wight)

You should be fine?

Just tell them NOT to replace the filter as it's not OEM and won't need changing yet ;)

Mine went in for service recently.

I put the paper filter back in, but they probably wouldn't check it anyway.

They didn't make any comments on my Jabba RARB so i wouldn't worry. The dealers get paid by Skoda to fix/service cars. They don't get paid to split hairs and argue with the customers.

Cheers guys

I was wondering whose SE was going to be the first to get to 10k - mine's not quite at 8.

Mines nearly 6,5k Not be too long to say I've done that many miles in 4/5 months!

The air filter is replaced every 40k miles so shouldn't be an issue on a first service...

Chris

My Strut brace, fuel filter and Green filter were never an issue at the dealer when servicing.

Mine is now at 11k. Had its first service a couple of weeks ago. £104 including new headlight buld, screenwash and a couple other minor bits.

I got my SE on 19 May and so far it`s done 9787

oh yeah the service came to £141.42, this included an oil change and change the brake fluid (because of Trax:D;):eek:)

I suppose we should have an SE meet or something

Had mine since July 25th, done about 4800 on it so far...I guess my first service will be around xmas time. no probs with it yet just some rattling inside the cabin which I prob can live with until I take it in for service and make a mention. Front tyres seems to have worn a little compared to rears...other than that I hope the first service is nothing of a major thing.

meet up wud be cool!

My first service the car had a rear arb and the pd160 intake on and nothing was mentioned

I'm upto 9500 now. No problems yet, gonna book the service tomorrow. The meet sounds good.
