4x4 - 17 inch Wheel offset question

Featured Replies

Sorry to post this as I have seen the answer posted recently, I think by Taviars but I cant find it

Looking to put 17 inch wheels on my 4x4 & to fit gigger brakes (at this stage brembo 4 pots are favourite) & I will also lower the car, the lowest will be standard RS height.

I am going wheel hunting tomorrow, what dims (offset etc) do I need to fit the car

Thanks

Stuart

Hi Stuart

RS wheels are 17x7, PCD 5x100 (thats the stud pattern) and offset is ET38, although if you are fitting Brembos you may want ET35. Offset isn't the only important thing if you are fitting Brembos, you need to look at the spoke design. Although the offset is OK there may not be enough room under the spokes for the calipers.

Try printing off an AP caliper profile as a guide from here. The Brembo is slightly larger, but at least it will guive you an idea

Edit to say, right click on the link above and save target as.
