CD Changer + Navi

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, stupid questions, I have tried the search function to but to avail.

Anyway, My mums fabia vRS has a standard single CD Player, She’s wanting to get a navi unit due to her impending new job which is based out of town.

Anyway we want to go for the OEM Navi setup and the CD Changer.

Where the best place to mount the CD Changer, whats is needed to get the OEM changer under the seat, or is a boot install cheaper/easier?

If I went third party what makes of changer would you recommend?

Also where’s the best place for the navi unit, I can only find ford MFDs on ebay, can the splash screen be changed to the Skoda one?

Thanks guys:thumbup:

Cheers

Chris

There is a fitting kit for about £50 which is for retrofitting an OEM changer under the seat. Well worth it.

The older MFD's are getting harder to find, I would suggest sending a message to one of the sellers listed in my install guide.

Thanks Stu, have you done this before do you find it easy to fit the changer, I am not the most skilled person in the world, but I managed to retrofit the Changer into the glovebox of my A3 with little problems!

Yes I have done one. You need to take the seat out but it's not difficult and there are instructions in the kit.

Also need to run the cable to the HU.

Whilst I appreciate your sentiments babyburt advertising by non Freedom members is not allowed I'm afraid.
