Lambda sensor wire colours.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Have a little problem, I just bought a Generic Lambda Sensor for my Skoda Octavia 01 1.4l.

Its wire colors are black, grey and 2 white.

The instrctions give the corresponding color to other car makes but not skoda.

Would anyone have any idea what the signal, ground and heater colors are for the rear lambda sensor?

Thanks in advance.

dont know the answer sorry but this may be better suited in the octavia 1 forum?

Which one are you changing? Pre cat sensor is a five wire probe and post cat is four.

Its the post cat 4 lead one.

Colour Connection

Black - Signal

Grey - Earth

White - Heater

Hmm lummox those are the colours on the spurious sensor I got. Was worried the the origonal sensor would have different colored wires coming from it. That would make it dodgy knowing which wire to splice to what.

But if theyre the same happy days.

I dont have a wiring diagram here but i'm pretty sure they are the same. Will be the same as VAG equivalents.

All went well factory and generics were the same colors B, G, WW.

Thank Lummox
