Fabia VRS water pump

Featured Replies

Does anyone have the part number of the water pump with metal impellor and not the plastic one please. I have used the search function, but am getting bored with trawling through endless posts now. Help anyone:confused:

You can't buy them from VW. You'd have to go to GSF (GSF Car Parts, cheap car parts direct to you) and ask them for one specifically.

I've just ordered an OEM replacement plastic one as I'm keen to use genuine parts only. :)

You wont get a part number thats of any use as its not available frm VAG. Each pattern part manufactuer will use a different ref number.

its not a Skoda part , so wont have a Skoda P/N

i think someone recently posted that they were stopping making them , so were in short supply at the motor factors

Damn it, how dare you beat me....hmmmpf!

Oh and the one I fitted to Xav's Fabia wasnt metal either. My local GSF guy said they had also stopped them. It however wasnt plastic but looked a lot more robust than the standard affair.

I've got a genuine one sat here, and looks fine. Its also cheaper than most pattern ones, only £25.52+VAT. Remember metal ones being £35 all in or in that ballpark.

Not to me, got a mate at GSF ;)

Thats cheating.

Also dare say a genuine one is even less for you :P

You could say that yeah..lol

Got mine from Euro Car Parts for £45.35 - part number: 201440985

When I got one from VW for a BBY engine back in July, it had a metal impellar and the original removed from the car (MY2003) had a plastic impellar. Okay its a differant engine but VAG might now be viewing it as a common design problem, so maybe you could be a real nuisance and get the Skoda/VW/Seat supplier to open the box for you (look before you buy) - its worth a try as Tom_vrs can vouch, its cheaper to buy VAG as they supply them as exchange items.

The 1.4 16v ones have changed (a while back). I did a 1.8T yesterday and it was still a plastic impellor (but they are modified and I havent seen a modified one break as yet).
