I don,t know if any of you are in the Dorset area but i thought i would tell you about our "Local" Skoda dealer(or more like a warning).

My car is an 06 Octavia 1.9TDi 100pd.

Its sadly a Taxi here in Bournemouth but i love it for its performance and MPG.Its now done 31000 miles already :thumbdwn: .its had 3 services so far from WESTOVER SKODA,CORFE MULLEN.

But god what a shower of **** they are! DON,T ever take your car there for servicing or anything.

They are all animals in the workshop,i have had to take it back everytime they service it for endless things they have cocked up.

Oh poor,poor,poor 0 rated garage.

Be warned.

I'll agree that Westover are totally useless! There is an ex-Seat garage that has now gone Skoda a little more over in the New Forest direction, iirc, unfortuantely I can't remember their name though.

I had the fortuantely pleasure of using them once or twice and also waiting over 5 weeks for some parts to come in ('none in the country', followed by 'the last order were all defective').

I have had the displeasure of using Westover for repeated work when in that area and in the end decided to drive to Winchester instead even though Westover were less than 15 minutes drive from me.

I have had outright lies and even been called a liar by the staff after they told me one thing then another told me another thing.

I don't really have a good thing to say about them, as even after that grovel letter they sent out, they haven't got any better.

I'm really hoping they might just fire the lot of them and start all over again, as the other marques in the Westover chain seem pretty good.

Oh and forget them getting back to you, ever.

Yes they never phoned me back at all i always had to call them.

Anyway guys i have spoken to Meadens now and they will do the next service for me in about 6 months time.

We should all petition for Westover to have the franchise taken away from them.What do you all think?

They phone me back just the *once* to say "arh, your turbo is f**ked, that will be £750 for a new turbo plus labour". Needless to say they did not get to change the turbo, I went else where and sourced a new turbo and had it fitted for £75. The snag is I don't think the turbo was actually knackered in the first place!

It's all in the eye of the beholder. I have a 1.9 105 bhp Mk II Ocky and am delighted with it, far nicer to drive than my 1.9 110 bhp Mk I Ocky. Both Elegance trim level. I had the Mk I for 4.5 years and have had the Mk II for just over 3 years.

I was converted in under five minutes when I test drove the Mk II.
