hi im new on here at the mo im running a 260bhp octavia l&k, but have bin given my mams 1.3 2000reg felicia magic as something to play with basicaly

i realy need to no witch vw this is based on, as it looks to me to be the melding of an estel engin with the parts theyve found in the skip at the wolfsburg factory!

1rst question, is it based on a golf or polo?! dose any1 know?????:confused:

2nd, iv herd mk3 gold vr6 calipers, carriers and discs fit? is this true?:confused:

3rd, is there someone that can sell me a set of coilovers or the kit car body kit that isnt chec!!!?:mad:

4th, what is the frunt rails baced on??? if there a vw polo or golf id like to no, as i dont intend to put a1.6 out of a 6n like everyone hows scared of a welder. ie a polo1.6 16v gti or 2L 16v golf.... persanaly id love to turbo the 1.3 but no1 seems to do any forged parts.:(

stage2 revo,

forge intercooler and dv,

jetex turbo back exhaust + cat,

carbonio induction kit,

porshe 4bar regulator,

samco hoses,

fk coilovers with poly bushes and rollbars,

blackdimond clutch,

audi rs4 wheels, nd a hell of an expensive alpine install.

doing all that was cheeper than geting the vrs lmao

so im happy with that as a daily driver and its easy as f**k to work on coz its just a tt that shoped at primart for its shell.

or a golf mk4 gti, or bora or a4, or saet leon....

so thats why i need to no what the lil skoda is based on, so iv got an idea of what and how i can transplant things.

a realistic 220bhp then :)

rolling roaded at 257bhp 298tq at the fly, dun at QCtunning running 16psi boost on a ko4 turbo not the ko3 that comes with the aum engin! but i cant push it much higher without changing the pistons and rods, but 220bhp is the book figer on the revo stage1 alone with no mods.

but im not here to argue, im just after info....

is there any skoda shows or anything or do ppl just go to vag shows.

...Actually, forged pistons, rods, uprated valve springs etc etc ...in fact just about everything that can be uprated or improved on the 1289cc 136 block is available from the Czech republic. These engines can be tuned to produce a reliable 130bhp revving to 8k (unblown too) The block design dates back to 1964 and its been fitted in just about every skoda that entered a rally/race so all the uprated parts are about - you just have to look carefully.

no, it's not based on any vw's, it's based on the favorit and there is virtually no interchangeable parts:)

no, not without modification to the hubs and/or carriers, plus also the vr6 discs are 5 stud

nope, afaik you can only get the HP sport ones now unless you want to pay megabucks:O

front rails?? :confused: the engine isn't mounted on the subframe on these like it is in the polo variant or seat ibiza... the 1.6-16v would go in but not without modification to the chassis and would require fabraiction of custom mounts

you would need to spend a fortune to get that so.... :wrthless:

as said before, the felicia is based on the old favorit, which was designed before vw took over. so, non of the vw parts bin will bolt on.

i'm running the 1.6 8v that came in mine as standard. but i think a well tuned 1.3 would be quicker as the 1.3 is an alu block and the 1.6 is iron (hanz over built everything) so is much heavier.

the brake conversion your on about is under development as we speak. the G60 corrado disks can be made to fit, but the calipers are looking like a no-go at the mow. so will have to keep looking.

as for coil overs. HPsporting are your best bet. HP SPORTING there made for rally handling no styling, so there not gunna slam the car but will make it handle very very well.

you should also think about the 22mm anti roll bar swop.

on the polo 6n and golf mk3 the engin sits on mounts conected to the 2 frunt chassis legs... and on the lil skoda im seeing prity much the same thing???? or am i mistaken, as i said b4 im not afraid of a welder.

my 6n was a 1.6 8v with polished head, cam, and a low presuer turbo running 7psi maped at 148bhp..... and all that set me bak £2500 so was cheep

on the brakes. jbs when theys put the 1.8t, said they used golf mk 3 4stud! brakes the only 1 i know with 280mm is the vr6, and on google pics some chek has put them on his. so someone found something.

i think im just guna have a go at droping something in, nd take it to the next vw meet to compare it with a mk3 golf and 6n polo.. il keep u informd if i find out anything or have any brake throughs,

iirc mk3 golfs have there engines mounter with one mount at the front, one at the back, and one just behind the end of the gear box.

however the felicia has one on the end of the engine, one on the end of the gear box, and one at the back.

no mounts on the front of the engine!

the G60 corrado has 280mm 4/100.

that makes things clearer, its the same layout as the polo 6n for the engin mounts...

with a bit of a fetal im sure i could get the 1.6gti out of the 6n facelift in aslong as itsnot fly by wire.

you didn't mention the bigger turbo in your list of mods, 260bhp is still a little optimistic but not far off what it should be :)

Aby ste ten nápor od motora vedeli udržať na ceste prišli na rad aj úpravy na podvozku. Auto spadlo k zemi vďaka nastaviteľnému podvozku. NA prednej náprave sú ventilované kotúče priemeru 280 mm a vzadu im sekundujú kotúče o priemere 239 mm. Celý systém funguje veľmi dobre a je aj dobre vyvážený. Samozrejme môžeme zabudnúť na kolesá priemeru 14 palcov a preto museli prísť kolesa priemeru 15 palcov. Úpravy na prednej náprave si vyžiadali ešte mierne vytiahnutie predných blatníkov.

i asoom he mentions the brakes he has put on it, he also has pics of them on the car.

there is also a 1.9tdi pic up with vw calipers and custom bracet.

its the rears id like something to fit strait on, im not botherd about the frunt, as il machine a bracket at work
