braided hose kits

Featured Replies

are there any dedicated hose kits?

Or am i going to have to make my own up?

And if there are how much are they ,who makes them and who sells them?

surely ones for a golf mk4 tdi 130 would fit

don't know but the audi tt ones are far too long,i may just have to modify those,i've had a good look at the fabia standard hoses on the car,and although they fit i think they are stretch a little on full lock since i put the 312's on.

Goodridge don't list the Fabia VRS and neither do Black Diamond on the Demon Tweeks site

its not too difficult to make them yourself with the right tools , but as its safety related i wouldn't bother unless you are sure you know what you're doing

i like to think i know what i'm doing:rofl:there's nothing really difficult about it,just need to shorten the tt items:D

Not sure if you guys have a "Regent" hose place near you:confused:These guys will make all sort of hoses up for you, but it would be best to get a spare OE hose so they can match it exactly

why bother? very much doubt its gonna make any difference myself.

it won't really but the standard hoses look stretched on full lock and i have a free set for a tt,but they are too long,so instead of replacing with rubber hoses i may as well uprate,if i can buy a specific set i will, other than that i will just shorten the tt braided ones, which tbh i can't be arsed to do.

problem is the brakes arn't oe;)
but the standard hoses look stretched on full lock

 the standard hoses are designed to be the correct length whatever position the suspension/steering is in

the only tightness in the hose will be from the caliper to the bracket on top of the hub due to the greater diameter of the disc, this can be alleiviated slightly by loosening the bracket and pushing it in towards the shocker

or fitment of the correct TT hose

36_19_1.gif didn't think of that.

Those tt hoses are huge tho,the ones i have would definatly need shortening:confused:

Used the standard hoses on 312's for about 55k without issue. I doubt you will have any problems with the standard hoses and there is no point in braided as the the standard ones are reinforced which means they are roughly the same thing.

i left the original Fabiah oses on , so i've never had them side by side , the TT hoses may be longer the other way , i.e. from the shocker to the body of the car

aswell as to the caliper

yes the tt ones are longer both ways, but if everyone else used the fabia oe hoses i doubt i will have a problem,i just had the front end on the axle stands today while i fitted the dog bone mount and just checked the brakes while i was there, like i said they just looked to stretch slightly on full lock,i will sort it next weekend tho, thank you for your helpful hints and tips:thumbup:

I'm positive the original hoses are braided anyway, I have been told many times that upgrading the hoses are pointless.

braided hoses are generally a waste of money, but they are quite handy sometimes when you are doing something custom and there isn't a hose available off-the-shelf, they are dead easy to make too, be carefull though because the braided hose will wear through everything it touches in a matter of weeks
