I believe the air flow meter may be faulty any idea of cost and has anyone had the same problem? i love this car but at 75000 miles its starting to become a nightmare.

get someone with VAG-COM to monitor the output of the MAF. On the diesel if you drive the car with the MAF disconnected and see no change in performance then that is a good indication it has failed, not sure if the same applies to the petrols?
