Adobe Premier Elements

Featured Replies

Does anyone know anything about it? If so, any clue as to why no sound will play?? It's making me somewhat annoyed. TIA

What Windows version are you using Loz ?

Also what version of Premiere Elements, too ?

Did a quick search via Google and found quite a few 'provisos' :thumbdwn:

re the operating system , the CPU, and the version of Elements with the aforementioned.

Google for 'web' with following text :-

sound problems adobe premiere elements

Premiere Elements 4.0 still doesn’t like processors made by AMD, so if your PC doesn’t have ‘Intel Inside’ then it probably won't work with this software.

also - a cached page regarding Elements 2

Troubleshoot installation and startup issues (Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0)

Quite a few complaints from Amazon buyers too.

If you try to play the media files you've created in another player do you then get sound ?

Do other media files of the same type (mpg, avi etc) play in your media players fine with sound available ?

Sounds like you may have codec problems.

Useful tool is GSpot

You've probably already checked this out, but do you have sound from other applications through the PC and also if you put a DVD video in the drive to play do you get sound?

Well, obviously I listen to music on it, sound works on movie maker and every other programme that requires sound. It is just this one programme thats having issues. I havent tried exporting any files because I couldn't make them with not knowing where the music was up to. video files that have their own sound wont play, mp3s that I add in myself wont play. The little audio thing that measures the output acts like there is sound playing (ie the little bar things go up n down) but i can't hear anything
