Guys can someone tell me how it works?

On the work Laptop it's only doing frames in blocks of 500 the laptop has been on all day and night and has only done about 70 frames.

Pc at home doing in blocks of 5000 and done about 1500 in 5 hours?

different work units have different block sizes. ones with smaller amount of blocks are usually harder to crunch, per block.

Are you running the graphical client, or the ms-dos typed based client? The dos based client is more efficient as the computer isn't making all those pretty DNA type piccies with it. :)

Both running XP  and both work & homw have DNA piccies :D

Another thing since I downloaded my pc & work laptop are faster

If you research my guide on how to setup folding so you don't actually have a window in the taskbar, and running the DNA stream thing - it should go a lot faster. When it next completes, cancel and uninstall the graphical client and go find the MS DOS / .exe client. There's a guide I did which makes it a doddle.

I don't understand why we're not doing better on the whole with the number of machines we have. I've only got 3 rigs running (2 quads and now a 4.5GHz Wolfdale), but aside from a lot of early terminations recently, I seem to be able to get 3-10 times the points out of my systems as most of the other people on here. And I know there are lots of the other users with REALLY nice systems. I definitely believe that SMP really is the way to lots of points.

will be looking into SMP on works machines when am back in, as we have recenly updated most desktop systems with dual core now (i just have to be careful and choose them wisely though ;) )- which is good... am looking forward to seeing what i'll get from my first WU done by PS3... in about errm 5 mins :D
