UPDATE!

I went to the Paint Factors after work, and asked to match uo a colour with my calipers, and mentioned on ETKA, it says Minz Green...

And they list it as a colour!

Great stuff, so that means i can get my strut brace done, and my NSR caliper repainted!

Close...but when they do the proper colour, i aint even trying hammerite.

Hammerite is pretty durable stuff - hope the proper colour is as tough - it gets hot around the caliper area and there are a lot of chances for dings.

Hammerite green has been used a lot and some people swear by it. My calipers were painted expertly by Stu and they're doing great under all sorts of stress......

If you do go with the proper colour - do let us know how it holds up on the calipers..

Good luck

Exactly a 'propper' colour from a bodyshop will be water based paint, good luck with that on a brake caliper.

Tell me the difference

Why do you think im trying it Lummox?

Because no one else has maybe?

Then i might sway towards the beloved hammerite...

Yeah you cant tell the difference, so what?

That one above is the same caliper as painted by the way.

Not having a go bud, I tried painted a load of engine bits a while back, plastic covers etc and the water based paint didnt last very long.

OK, thought you were having a pop at me!

I read into things wrong sometimes!

Ill see what this stuff is like first, ill try it on something not too obvious and take it from there!

Cheers!

I should imagine it will be fine on your strut brace, not so sure on the caliper thats all.

it doesnt really matter what green you go for, the hammerite is probably your better option.

the last of the fabia vrs' all have red calipers anyway.

I know they did?!....

Yeah ill see what it goes like Lummox...and let you know how long it takes to peel off!!

I must admit though after a nice long run, that strut brace holds some heat...obviously not the same as brakes, but still a bit tingly when touched!
