I have a Laptop and every now an then the screen goes Blank ( black ) for a split second and then goes back to normal.......Any 0ne.!!

If its any compensation mine does it too, usually about a minute after booting up.

When you close your laptop lid it makes contact with a switch and turns off the screen. Sounds like you may have a sticky \ dicky switch. Try pressing it down gently \ hard to see if you get the same symptom. Usually the switches are fairly obvious to spot. Little plastic thing sticking up. Try switch cleaner if this appears to be the case.

It could be the Inverter for the screen on the blink, if it is you can get them off Ebay and fit it yourself if you think you can handle it
