Simply, is there a bike carrier available for an 05 Vrs that can carry 4 bikes?

There are towbar options that will do 4 bikes, and 4 on the roof is another option. Not sure if there is a 4 bike rear-window carrier though?

As above you can definately fit 4 bikes on the roof with a set of bars and 4 carriers (bikes sit facinf alternative directions so the handlebars do not hit each other). If you get a tow bar fitted you can also buy carriers that fit to it and hold 4 bikes ( some of these will also tilt away to allow access to the boot with the bikes still attached). I do not think you can buy a universal/strap on bike holder to carry that many bikes. I think this is mainly to do with the weight of the bikes. You may also find that the boot spoiler gets in the way of these racks as well. I have gone for the roof rack option myself as I did not want to put a tow bar on the car (adds a lot of extra cost by the time you have paid for the tow bar and the bike rack). I bought Atera bike carriers and Thule roof rack both from The Roof Box Company: sales and hire of Thule roof boxes and other brands of roof boxes, roof bars and bike carriers (they do a mulipty buy deal with roof racks and carriers). The bike carriers are designed so that you do not have to reach up to attach things to the bike frame, instead all done at shoulder/roof height.
