Featured Replies

While at weston the Cat and fiddle meet propped up in the convo.

Everyone want to go so who wants to organise a Cat and Fiddle meet for one Saturday or Sunday this month :D

Oh can you make it asunday please?:D

I'll be there :) I've been trying (on msn) to talk Rob into doing another one soon....

Chris and I would be up for this but it's a heck of a long way from the south coast. I'm guessing, but I think this wont happen till the new year so what about March time (when it's abit warmer :))?

Next Weston meet is the last Saturday of March. When does the snow and Ice start to arrive?

Snow and ice can arrive at the C&F anytime between November and April.

To date we've not had a snowy one, although we've had a very cold one (people who attended the first C&F in 2005 will recall this!).

I think this month might be cutting it a bit fine but I'll see what I can do. :)

it didn't get above -3 celcuis if I remember rightly! lol.... remember that lorry sliding down the hill towards the skodas... ohh, could have been bad!

I'll keep my eye on the NW section Rob... see what you can do

I try not to remember that lorry . . .

That was the same meet we all pulled into that poor lady's driveway wasn't it? Rich's fault for thinking it was a cafe!

Sort it out, mushroom boy.

I remember it being fairly cold and gritty and on the Feb '06 one as well :)

Would be good to have another one Rob - looking forward to it

I spoke to Rob (Yashicamat) last night about the next Cat and Fiddle meet. He’s pretty busy at the moment so I’ll have a go at organising this one.

This one will be along the lines of C&F II in Feb '06, which was my first go at organising a meet, but went pretty well. :D

I will have a ride around the Peak District this weekend and see if I can find a decent route based around Leek, Macclesfield and Buxton suitable for the shorter winter days. Lunch will hopefully be at the Red Lion as usual but this will be dependent on numbers.

The date will probably be Saturday 8th December.

Keep a look out for the new thread early next week. :)

I can make that date Rich... count me in :)

Oh can you make it a sunday please?:D

Why? Just call a strike like you did last time :P

The 8th would be fine for me :)

Sounds like fun... not sure what I'm working in December yet tho :(

  • 5 weeks later...

Yes, I think we've missed the 8th ;)

Might have to be Jan now? What are people thinking?

Steve

December is a no no for me but I would love to join you on this even though it's a 500 mile round trip . Personally I reckon early March would be best imo but I'll leave it up to you guys to sort :).
