Nice forum, good to get some impartial advice. I've just purchased a 2002 Fabia 1.4 16v comfort hatch in a rather fetching orangy-maroon colour. So far so good, I'm enjoying all the interior toys although it is a shame that the Skoda symphony CD player wasn't fitted until later. After having spent 8 years driving only an elderly Hyundai Accent, it is taking me some time to get used to the new motor, I'm especially finding it easy to stall, but the steering is good.
